Becky was born and raised in Battle Creek. She attended Central Michigan University. She was Executive Director and co-owner of Rehab Associates, a physical and occupational therapy practice, for 18 years. For the past 3 years she has been providing accounting and payroll services for a number of local small business and volunteering as a church treasurer. She has been married to her husband Rob for 32 years. They have 2 grown children that are married and have blessed Rob and Becky with 4 granddaughters and a grandson on the way. In her free time she enjoys riding her Harley Davidson, turkey hunting, knitting and fitness training.
Early Elementary Coordinator
Kelly joined the gracespring staff in April 2014. She and her family began attending gracespring in 2012. Kelly has been actively serving in Children's Ministries since 2005 and was a Children's Leader in BSF for three years. She enjoys volunteering at her childrens' school and with Girl Scouts. She and her husband John have been married since 2000 and they have two wonderful children, Abraham and Hannah. Kelly loves children and their zeal for life, they inspire her to embrace life to the fullest and to live with joy. In her spare time, she loves taking walks, listening to church podcasts and playing video games.
Technical Ministry Director
Scott and his family started attending gracespring in 1997. His wife Kim is a homemaker who is active in gracespring softball and Children’s Ministries. They have three children–Dustin, Dillon, and Abbigail. Scott has worked as a professional singer and musician, a residential carpenter, and in the manufacturing industry as a supervisor and plant superintendent. Scott feels the Lord has blessed him with a variety of work experiences that allow him to serve our wonderfully talented Technical Team.
Community Life Coordinator
Julie grew up on a farm in DeSoto Iowa before moving to Fremont Michigan as a teenager. She graduated from Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in 1987 with a Degree in Christian Education and Music. She then worked as an Executive Assistant at Zondervan Publishers, Family Christian Stores, Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Christian Schools and Bethany Christian Services. She went back to Cornerstone University and graduated with a Bachelors in Business in 1997. Julie is married to David (who is from Australia!) and they have two wonderful children, Masha (born in 1996 and adopted from Russia in 2009) and Evan (born in 2000). The Johns family moved to Richland and gracespring in 2012 and are Community Group Facilitators and Coaches. Julie joined gracespring staff in May 2014.
Director of Communications
Destry joined the gracespring staff in September 2010. He graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. He grew up in Kalamazoo and has attended gracespring most of his life. Destry met his wife, Brittany, at Taylor University and they got married Spring of 2012. In his spare time, Destry enjoys watching movies, playing sports, and playing card & board games with his family.
Early Childhood Coordinator
Ashley was born in Algonac, MI and moved to Grand Rapids to attend Kuyper College in 2005. This is where she met her husband Adam, whom she married in June, 2008. She graduated from Kuyper in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Youth Ministry. In the fall of 2009, Ashley and Adam moved to Plainwell and started attending gracespring. The couple have two children, Rebekah (2011) and Eden (2013).
Gary and his wife, Sandy, have been a part of gracespring Bible Church since 2000. Together, they have been involved with almost every ministry area within the church . They have three children as well. Gary grew up on a dairy farm in New York where he met Sandy, they married and moved to Wisconsin where Sandy completed a pediatric residency and Gary added a degree in Ag Mechanics and Business Management. They moved to the Kalamazoo area in 1987 where Gary spent a few years as a deacon consultant for the Kalamazoo Deacons’ Conference. Wanting to get back into agriculture, he worked a number of years with dairy farmers in Michigan building and installing large milking systems on SW Michigan dairies. He always had an interest in building and mechanics and did building, remodeling and mechanical systems repair work in the area. Gary is skilled in many areas and looks forward to using his abilities and interests to improve the church infrastructure and facilities.
Winston joined the gracespring staff in August 2016. He was born and raised in the Kalamazoo area. He graduated from Cornerstone University with an Associate Degree in Human Services. Winston has worked in the automotive industry, apartment maintenance, and residential remodeling. His wife Laura graduated from WMU and she works in the medical field in Kalamazoo. They enjoy living in Southwest Michigan and they like the diversity of the four seasons. Winston loves to spend time with his wife, reading, and riding his bike.
