Prayer
PRAYER... is an adventure with the Living God!
God invites every Christian to spend time with him frequently. Prayer is also a mystery. We don’t know when, where, or how God is going to help us or our loved ones, but we do know He cares and he will act on our behalf.
Prayer is similar to a conversation between two GOOD friends, in this case, one Friend being very strong and powerful! On our part, it is important to spend regular time reading, studying, and if possible, memorizing, His Word in the Bible. It is important to approach God regularly with a willingness to be taught, and a willingness to obey with a humble heart what He directs us to do or be.
While it is essential to “practice” prayer, we need to also allow the Lord and His Holy Spirit to direct the process. He is God; we are not! Our understanding of His guidance very seldom comes instantly; we do need to keep at it!
This week spend an extra 5 -10 -15 minutes with your heart and mind focused on God. Purposefully LISTEN to what He has to say to you! Enjoy Him and His Love for you!
