Position Title: gsKIDZ Elementary Program Coordinator

Status: Part-Time (30 hours)

Reports To: gsKIDZ Director


job summary 
The gsKidz Elementary Program Coordinator’s responsibility is to partner with the gsKidz Director’s vision and assist in executing the ‘details’. The Elementary Program Coordinator will help facilitate a culture of creative, enthusiastic, and relevant children’s ministry by joyfully serving the  volunteers and families of gsKIDZ and gracespring Bible Church. This culture will thrive on providing spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental care, alongside an environment of safety and structured policies. We seek someone who is able to execute “the details”, flourish in relational leadership, recruit and train leaders, and is a creative thinker, servant hearted, has a teachable spirit, and has a warm caring nature.

  • 5.5 Hours Monday 9:00am – 2:30pm  
  • 5.5 Hours Tuesday 9:00am – 2:30pm  
  • 8    Hours Wednesday 9:00am – 2:30pm & 6:30pm – 9:00pm  
  • 5.5 Hours Thursday 9:00am – 2:30pm
  • 5.5 Hours Sunday 7:30am – 1:00pm



  • Oversee scheduling, communications, sign ups, promotion, etc of our gsKidz M-Group (Ministry Group) ministries in partnership with gsKIDZ Director. 
  • Coordinate Wednesday night “Kidz JAM”…in partnership with the gsKIDZ Director. Organize and stock all rooms, curriculum supplies, volunteer supplies, etc.
  • Track and communicate gsKIDZ Milestone ministry levels from Kindergarten – 5th Grade 
  • Partner with gsYOUTH and Early Childhood for Kindergarten and 5th grade graduation ceremonies/classes 
  • Assist gsKIDZ Director with all events, outreach, missions trips, and activities 
  • Provide organizational support and communications for gracespring’s Creative Team 
  • Provide Sunday support for gsKIDZ volunteers and lead hospitality for the elementary wing including, but not  limited to: guest tours, parent questions, visitor gifts, Birthday recognition, etc 
  • Assist gsKIDZ Director with any other program organization/administration as needed


physical duties

  • Maintain stock, ordering, cleanliness, and accurate inventory, of all gsKIDZ resource rooms and storage areas
  • Maintain organization, sanitization, and cleanliness of the entire gsKIDZ Elementary wing, kiosk, counters/shelves, rooms, room items/toys, hallways, and storage areas
  • Set up and tear down supplies, rooms, hallways, etc – from weekly programming (Sunday & Wednesday)


additional expectations

  • Attend events, ministry activities, trainings, extra meetings, seminars, and conferences 
    • Flexibility is provided  
  • Participate in gsKIDZ team enrichment opportunities: including book reading, monthly ministry report, annual reviews, and completing any additional reports, and/or evaluations 
  • To possess, or obtain, a CPR and FA certification for infants, children, and adults 
    • Schedule 2 CPR and FA certification training days each year for gsKIDZ team/volunteers 
      • Learn all gracespring and gsKIDZ computer programs and software 
      • Assist other ministries that are directly related to gsKIDZ with supervisor acknowledgement
      • Assist with communicating policy and procedures to all volunteers and team leaders


position qualifications

    • Minimum of 2 years of proven leadership in children’s ministry or employment working with children
    • Must have good organizational skills, skilled in training and equipping volunteer teams, and the ability to delegate 
    • Excellent communicator, both orally and written 
    • Ability to tactfully confront parents of young children about behavior, hygiene, illness, incident reports, etc – in  cooperation with gsKidz policy and procedures 
    • Knowledge of PC or MAC computer, social media, Microsoft Word, (Excel a plus), and/or willingness to learn 
    • Detail oriented and competent administratively
    • Ability to recruit adults/parents through relational leadership and vision casting
