Ben has been married to Jeralyn since 2002. They met and were married at gracespring in what is now the youth room. Jeralyn is the head of school at Calhoun Christian School where she has served for the past 11 years. Their three boys are Joshua-17, Andrew-15 and Daniel-10. Other than three years living overseas in Japan and a brief hiatus attending church in Battle Creek, Ben has been attending gracespring since 1997 and Jeralyn since 2001. Jeralyn and the boys are serving in the children's ministry and Ben serves on the safety team. Ben serves at Calhoun Christian as well as gracespring and service is important to their family. They believe in giving of themselves and have always tried to instill that value in their children. They've had 4 different foreign exchange students that have lived with them over the last 15 years- one of them, Yuki, for 2 years while she was a student at CCS and then while she attended Hope College. They enjoy opening their home to others.
