Sean took third place in the first chili cook-off he ever entered. He has since retired.
Sean once helped film a music video for the Newsboys. The music video was never released, but the footage still exists.
In May of 2013, Sean was the southernmost person in the contiguous United States for a few seconds. It was magical.
Sean was born at a University of Michigan hospital (totally relevant) and raised in Paw Paw before moving to Lansing. He attended Great Lakes Christian College where he majored in Biblical Theology with a Youth Ministry minor. By God’s grace and timing, he met and married his wife, Abbey, who is way out of his league. They moved to Grand Rapids while Abbey was earning her PhD, and then spent almost 5 years in Virginia for her first teaching position. During this time, Sean and Abbey became parents to Henry (2015) and Harlan (2020) They continued to follow God’s leading back to Southwest Michigan and gracespring. Throughout the years, God has continually closed doors to vocational ministry and opened doors for various forms of Human Resources work. Sean is now humbled and grateful to be working alongside the body at gracespring! In his free time, Sean is a podcast host and he loves a good film, a good book, and a good nap.
